Hello Everyone,

I am a Superhost based in Harrogate Uk.

I have received a couple of enquiries about stay in in my rental apartment. In each case it was not an Official NHS but individuals. I am unable to offer it free as I have an amount that I pay out, ie gas, electricity, cleaning. In all cases the caller wanted to know if I can offer it even cheaper.

I am not sure if this is a general problem.

@Marta778  Yes, many hosts are reporting this behavior- it's despicable that guests are trying to take advantage in this way. If it's an Inquiry (as opposed to a Booking Request) , you don't need to decline. All you need to do is message back within 24 hours, and say " As per government directives, I am only hosting medical personnel and first responders, with verifiable credentials, at this time."  You might also put this statement at the beginning of your listing description for now.

I'm curious about something, though. You say the guest called- how did they get your phone number?
