Covid 19 mutates it seems - further round of lockdowns in China.

Nobody wants to hear this of course, but it's possible the virus has a mind of its own and that this won't be over quite as soon as some hope.

The northeast provinces have ordered a return of lockdown measures, halting train services, closing schools and sealing off residential compounds, dismaying residents who had thought the worst was over.
“People should not assume the peak has passed or let down their guard,” Wu Anhua, a senior infectious disease doctor, said on state television on Tuesday. “It’s totally possible that the epidemic will last for a long time.”

@Sharon1014  Thanks for sharing and I agree IMO it’s here for the long haul. 😔

@Ria16  Not what any of us want to hear alas, but hopefully Aussie and NZ will be spared given we have both managed to hit it early, have extensive testing and contact tracing.  I'd say however, that this would be a good time to re-stock our consumables, including cleaning products and PPE wherever possible.

@Sharon1014  We have just 30 actives cases as of today here & I have my first guests arriving next week but I feel the joy has gone from hosting now.. Time to put my place to sleep I think.
