At Kasa Alagao Farm, we don't just offer accommodation; we provide an immersive experience where guests can reconnect with nature, embrace sustainability, and indulge in the joys of farm life. Nestled amidst Barangay Alagao, our farm is a haven for those seeking tranquility, adventure, and a deeper connection with the environment.
Sustainable Practices
Recycling and Waste Management
We believe in the mantra of "reduce, reuse, recycle" and have implemented comprehensive recycling and waste management systems on our farm.
Special trash bins are strategically placed throughout the property, allowing guests to separate plastics, glass, paper, and organic waste. This ensures that recyclable materials are diverted from landfills and are given a new life through recycling.
Organic waste from our farm is composted and used to enrich the soil, creating nutrient-rich fertilizer for our vegetable and fruit gardens.
Promoting Sustainable Agriculture:
Our farm practices sustainable agriculture techniques, including organic farming methods and permaculture principles.
We grow a variety of vegetables and fruits on our farm, using organic compost and natural fertilizers to nurture our crops. By avoiding synthetic chemicals and pesticides, we prioritize the health of both our guests and the environment.
Guests are invited to explore our gardens, participate in farm-to-table experiences, and learn about the importance of sustainable food production.
Animal Welfare and Pet-Friendly Environment:
At Kasa Alagao Farm, we cherish our furry and feathered friends and believe in providing them with a loving and nurturing environment.
Our farm is home to goats, chickens, hens, dogs, and cats, all of whom play an integral role in our ecosystem. Guests are welcome to interact with our animals, learn about their care, and experience the joys of farm life firsthand.
We recognize the importance of responsible pet ownership and welcome guests to bring their four-legged companions along for the adventure. Our pet-friendly policy ensures that all members of the family can enjoy a memorable stay at our farm.
Guest Experience:
Guests at Kasa Alagao Farm are not just visitors; they are part of our extended farm family. From the moment they arrive, they are greeted with warmth, hospitality, and a genuine appreciation for nature.
Whether it's harvesting fresh vegetables from our gardens, collecting eggs from the chicken coop, or simply basking in the serenity of the countryside, every moment spent at our farm is an opportunity for guests to reconnect with the natural world and rejuvenate their spirits.
Conclusion:
At Kasa Alagao Farm, sustainability isn't just a buzzword; it's a way of life. From our renewable energy initiatives to our commitment to recycling and waste management, we are dedicated to preserving and protecting the environment for future generations.
We invite you to join us on this journey towards a more sustainable future and experience the magic of farm life at Kasa Alagao Farm. Mabuhay to The Philippines!
What steps are you taking this year to make your lifestyle more sustainable?
Andres & Melanie
@Andres644, wow! Kasa Alagao Farm sounds magical and that first photograph is perfect getaway goals! Is that a river that runs through your farm?
I love that you spoke about the importance of using natural fertilisers - does this come from the animals that you keep on the farm? What a beautiful circle of nourishment and love; feeding your animals, which, in turn, feed your fruits and vegetables, which then feed you and your guests. ๐ A wonderful sustainable practice!
Thank you once again for sharing.
Hi Rebecca, ๐
Thanks for your words and enthusiasm.
The river is located 7-10 minutes away from our farm. It's the ideal place to meet local people, chill, eat drink, and of course swimming.
Yes, we use our goats' and hens' manure as compost for our vegetables. Since we are vegetarians, we collect the eggs for the clients and our consumption.
Here is our IG: @laKasaAlagao.
Thanks and if you have any other questions, please let me know.
Andres & Melanie.
Your farm & the experiences you offer sounds wonderful! We offer a similar experience at Puschka Farm just on a smaller scale. We also grow our own vegetables and most of our food on our plate is our own! We have 2 off grid cottages with plunge pools. We have a biodigester that produces gas for our kitchen. Recycling waste is a big challenge in South Africa but we do the best we can under the circumstances. Your write up is such an inspiration to us all.
Hello @Linda-and-Peter0
Thanks for sharing your best practices in your Airbnb property. ๐
Whether it's a big or small action, it is important to be aware and conscious of nature and sustainability, and for me, your actions are big. ๐
I wish you a beautiful day!
Andres & Melanie
@Andres644 Wow, great to hear about your efforts! Itโs so important to foster a sense of belonging and community with your guest family.
This year, in addition to the standard practices: composting, recycling, buying in bulk, non-toxic, sustainable purchases for supplies etc, Iโm changing over my hot tub to a more natural system.
Iโm also attempting to buy/make all my furniture/linens for my cabin from sustainably-made natural materials like wood, hemp, jute, organically grown whenever possible, etc.
Iโm looking forward to a sustainability certification or badge from AirBnB that promotes spaces like your farm!

Hi @Laurelle3 ,
Thank you so much for your words. ๐๐ผ
Our place is quiet and you can connect with nature immediately.
If people in provinces don't take care about nature, who will do it?
Have a great day,
Andres โบ
