NEVER GET AN AIR BNB GIFT CARD!!!
In January my account was shut down and deactivated by air bnb after years of using the app and traveling multiple places. The $125 gift card I had just gotten for Christmas was already added to my account. I’ve called customer service so many times and every-time they say they have no access to help with the situation and that they will contact their higher ups who will contact me. Who never actually contacted me. After a month of trying I finally got a hold of a supervisor who also said they couldn’t do anything to help me and that we would have to go to the store we bought it from. We drove 2 hours to that store who told us to call the card issuers number. They then told us that the issue is on air bnb’s side and they will have to handle it. So now $125 is just floating around in air bnb space and the company will do nothing to help which is their job.
