¿Do you know places to recommend to our guests when they are visiting the south are in Mexico city?
Hi @Claudia4309
You are in Mexico City so are much more likely than others here in this international community to know what the best attractions are in your city .
Pick out a selection that you feel are most likely to appeal to guests who you see as your target market .
Hi @Claudia4309,
I've never been to Mexico City myself, however it looks like a great destination! What are your favourite places to recommend to guests for now?
@Adriana2029 @Gussy0 @Noemi389 @Gunnar84 @Linh270 @Paola2522 @Mireya-Elisa0 I believe you are all hosts nearby too, do you have more suggestions to share perhaps?
Have a lovely day 🙂

Maybe it's hard to recommend you places to visit in Southern Mexico City because... There are so, so, so many! 🙂
We live very close to our National University campus (UNAM, Ciudad Universitaria). The campus is in the UNESCO list of cultural heritage, and very well worth a visit. Try to visit in weekdays, so you can also go to Espacio Escultórico, ~2Km South of the central campus. I think it opens from 9:00 to 16:00. Or, in similar hours but also on weekends, to the beautiful Botanical Garden.
Coyoacán is a beautiful neighborhood with many cafes, opportunities to buy all kinds of handicrafts, many interesting museums (Leon Trotsky's house, Popular Cultures museum, the famous and in my opinion overrateed Frida Kahlo's Blue House, and others).
San Ángel has somewhat of the same spirit of Coyoacán, although... different. And if you are looking for fine, unique handicrafts to buy (of course, for more money), that's an even better option.
The small Cuicuilco archaeological site is small, very interesting; it is one of the oldest pyramids in Mesoamerica, from before the Xitle's eruption that changed the whole South West of our city (>2000 years ago). It is also the only conic pyramid I've seen in Central Mexico.
I've only mentioned places that are in walking distance (<5Km) from my home. There is much, much more to enjoy in this corner of the city!
Thank you @Gunnar84 for sharing your recommendations with us!
The archeological site intrigued me so I had a look online. Although small, it seems like a must-see. 😃 Are there other ones just outside the city or do you have to start travelling a bit further away to find more?

There are tens of archeological sites inside Mexico City, Cuicuilco just happens to be one I drive by almost every week 😉 This was, after all, a major settlement with many different cultures having cities around the lake, for a very long time period.
I recently came across a beautiful project of re-imagining and rendering the Mexico City landscape around 1500, just before the Spaniards arrived:
Hola, a mi me encanta recomendar tours sobre con nuestra gastronomía y algo muy representativo también es el tequila y el mezcal. Entonces te diría que tours de tequila y mezcal. Tours de tacos de un chef muy famoso (el chef Torres que tiene una estrella Michelin. Somos conocidos porque nos encanta bailar y ser alegres así que un tour de fiesta mexicana en las trajineras. Hello @Claudia4309.
It could be the tequila and mezcal museum, the pyramids of Teotihuacán if you are foreigners, although it is not close, you love the experience, especially if it is in a hot air balloon.
The trajineras of Xochimilco, to the taco tour of chef Torres who has a Michelin star. I hope it helps you, greetings!!
