Hi Everyone out there I'm Dr Shailesh Bhadla from India I'm a passionate traveller and wildlife conservator since school time...
Hello! I recently had to ask a guest to go after they whipped it out and spanked the monkey in my front yard. There were definitely red flag prior to that point, but that was the big concern. When I asked them to leave, they said that I'd need to call the police to get them out. They did eventually leave when I showed them I really would [and did] call the cops.
After they trashed the place (like +$1k), I reported them to AirBnb and sent them the doorbell video of the guy out front. They claimed he was pee-ing [still not ok] but video clearly shows something different.
AirBnb [I presume] took off our ability to communicate because I could not leave a review. They did not do the same to the other party. They, of course, left me a 1-star review and maybe 2" of sewage and +$1k of cleaning / repair costs. They backed up the toilet, broke the flapper and flushed, which is a super creative way to make sure sewage water continuously pours out until a cleaner comes in and realizes what happened.
I'm a superhost and, to be honest, this situation was traumatic enough I'm reconsidering the whole AirBnb thing. This is my personal home and it was a really awful experience. As part of that decision to keep doing AirBnb, I'm trying to deconstruct what happened on AirBnb's side that wouldn't allow me to leave a review, but allow this guest to. Up until now, I'd have assumed if AirBnb knew about something like that, there would at least be the opportunity for me to warn future hosts. AirBnb has followed through on their reimbursement (mostly... I'm out a few hundred of bookings, but mostly ok). They have the video of this guy spanking the monkey in the front yard, so I presume they believe me.
Completely outside the absurdity of their 1 star review on my wall, I'm more concerned that I can't leave my own review to protect future hosts. Anyone know what the back process is that would prevent me from reviewing the guest under these circumstances?
"I recently had to ask a guest to go after they whipped it out and spanked the monkey in my front yard".
i am already flabbergasted after the first sentence. What happened outside ?
The guest masturbated. Pretty straightforward really. Hard to see how you could interpret the video as urinating. Are CX assuming he had to wring out the last drop?
I see. Google should do better in translation to Dutch ..... seems already weird to me somebody was hitting a monkey in a front yard in Florida :>)
Googling it was a mistake. For the next couple of months you'll be inundated with ads for Fleshlights etc etc.
As a precautionary measure suggest you immediately Google "keeping primates as pets", "disciplining my spider monkey", "is it ok to spank my chimp?", "primate psychology", "animal behaviourist Leeuwarden", "primate specialists".
Thank you for suggestions.
But now having read the review it is even more clear to me what really happened :
"After they get in, the guy she's with then walks out front and **DOES WHAT MEN DO** in front of my Nest camera. I'm not sure how to say that in a way where AirBnb will keep this up, so use your imagination. We asked her to leave and take a refund that night. She did not respond. "
This made me laugh so hard 🤣🤣🤣
@Rochelle117 I clicked on her profile and it looks like she no longer has one, so maybe she deleted her account and that is why you couldn't do a review? It is possible, but unlikely that Airbnb banned her, but either way, that is probably the reason.
UPDATE!!!
Her messages on my feed are removed and replaced with this statement:
"This message has been hidden because the person no longer has access to Airbnb."
Ok so my priority 1 has been accomplished!!!! 🙂 🙂
Much lower priority... any ideas how to get that one star on my profile taken off? Already disputed unsuccessfully.
