Guest books for 1, 2 arrive, and the reason was obvious

so, the guest booked the room for 1 person. she said that she is meeting friends, attending some work course.
Then she was trying to ask for a discount saying that she does not stay overnight, just the evening. this should have been the first reg flag but I ignored it.
around 7pm, she arrives, and with a male guest. I was shocked. I told her politely that she booked the room for 1. then they said that is fine, they can update it the number of guests on the booking. Since it was obvious why they need the room, i declined and I asked them to leave.
I did not refund them, and I felt so annoyed and how people think that they can come to my my own private property like that?
I definitely will leave a review even though the reservation got cancelled.
this was not the first time that guests used the room for such activities.
Where is the respect? What feedback you would leave for them? How did you handle the situation if it happened to you?

I would have told the guest that booked that I would be happy for her to stay but not the person accompanying her who was not on the booking @Dora31

In that way it would then be down to the guest to cancel and I as the host would be able to keep the booking cost.

I am glad you didn't refund them.

Yep, I told the guest that she booked it for one and she can stay. But obviously it was refused. 😄
