It's my second hosting with Airbnb. The first one went very well, but the second has been a very bad experience so far.
I had a booking for free days for two persons - communication was difficult from the beginning as we didn't have a common well spoken language.
The first problematic point come from the guests coming with 3 kids (told me the cleaning lady who met them, as I made them check-in early, they didn't have a place to stay, so they came when the cleaning lady was still cleaning the flat.) - which is fine but I think add a lot of cleaning costs. During the booking, communication was hard (I have a document with a FAQ for all common questions - but they kept asking me everything which was explained in the document.) Once again this is I think fine, as the language was a barrier I understand that reading a long document wasn't the best experience for them. I did my best to explain things.
They left the apartment and a friend of mine came to check it. The apartment is extremely durty, there are things on the floor everywhere - the bathroom especially with a lot of trash, the floor being completely flooded with water and used diapers (my friend told me that the smell was unbearable)
In the other rooms. many of my decoration/objects are everywhere in the room some are missing at the moment (my friend didn't have the time to watch everywhere), I am unsure if I can find them and if some are not broken.
In my working place, the computer doesn't work any more. It just don't boot (it has two ssds, one is not detected and the other , which has windows is detected but can't boot for an unknown reason at the moment.) Me and my friend are both experienced IT engineer and, seing how is the rest of the place, I higly doubt that this is a coincidence even if I can't be totally sure. The computer problem is the biggest of all - I work on this computer on remote and I have a lot of personnal/work items that will take a week to reinstall. We are trying to figure out what happened. I asked them about the computer but they told me that they didn't touch it. (I wrote in the Airbnb rules that the computer is not there to be used by the guests)
I am afraid to find other hidden problems once I come back next week and take a deep look at my place.
Could you tell me what should I do in such a situation ? Thanks a lot.
