Here we go, cancellations, cancellations...

Hi, I'm in Tuscany which is only minimally affected by coronavirus yet in the last 24 hours I've had 2 cancellations for next month. 

 

My cancellation policy is of course set to moderate because that's what Airbnb requires if your listing is to be seen. (My preference was 'strict'.)

 

So I'm losing much needed income to reimburse me for the improvements I've done for 2020 and Airbnb washes its hands blaming my cancellation policy. Of course I've contacted them but not received a reply. 

 

Why isn't there some cancellation insurance policy in place? It's not my fault that guests are cancelling! When I ran a letting agency, we insisted all clients took out cancellation insurance. Why doesn't Airbnb?
