Host scams

I stayed at Rubens Airbnb ‘The Seahorse’ in Galveston TX for 2 nights early this month. After I checked out, he filed a $3000, false, damage claim. Is that common among hosts? Why is he still being allowed to be a host on Airbnb? How many people is he doing this to? What about the guests who have to deal with stuff like this?

@Marnie55 No this is not normal. However how do we know the damage claim is false? Anyway the host will have to prove their claim so if you didn't damage anything you should be ok.
