Hotel registration

Airbnb says that hotel do not need to register but it is still asking me to register and provide ID. I don't have a home to register. Also I am stuck with a 30 day reservation which didn't require registration. I am trying to cancel this reservation which is already checked in but the guest was not allowed to stay. I am trying to give them their money back but the system is not allowing me to change the dates to shorten the stay and not allowing me to cancel.
