How can I protest Joe Gebbia?

I've been a proud AirBnB sharing economy member since 2014, first as a super host and later as a shareholder in the initial IPO. I would like to request that Joe Gebbia either distance himself from DOGE or resign from the board of AirBnB. Does anyone know who I should contact to register my complaint? Thank you in advance.

I too, am a long-time host in Bend Oregon. I started hosting in 2011. Airbnb saved me from losing my house, when the banking crash happened and my work as a log home architectural designer disappeared. I also am a shareholder from the initial buy in. I echo your words on this post and would like to see Brian Chesky start to make statements to the public to address this issue. I would also like advice on what else I can do to support Airbnb during these challenging times.

Thanks! I think I’ll e-mail Brian Chesky. The company has always encouraged us to step up to the plate to help the unhorsed. Maybe Joe Gebbia has early-onset dementia.

I meant to say “unhoused,” not “unhorsed.”

@Lee-Marie0  I won't do anything to support AirBnB until they come out with a firm statement on where they stand on the Joe Gebbia issue. Anything short of removing him from the board would be unacceptable.

I honestly don't understand wanting to "support" a vastly rich business who could honestly give a crap about you, other than wanting their cut of your profit.

If you're a shareholder, you can attend a shareholder meeting and voice your concerns. That's the power of the vote.

I have been an AIRBNB guest for ten years and have used AIRBNB all over the world and have always felt supported when I had an issue. I love using AIRBNB.

I agree with Debbie. I have told AIRBNB that I will boycott AIRBNB if Gebbia doesn't step down. Is there a bigger anti-Airbnb/Gebbia movement that I can join? Thank you.

@Candy175  I don't believe that Joe Gebbia will step down. AirBnB should remove him from the board. That's the only acceptable option for me.

@Debbie1378  If you search this Community Forum, you'll see many many posts on this subject already. Honestly, AirBnB has a PR crisis on their hands but hasn't acknowledged it yet. They came out with a generic, two-sentence statement that mostly means nothing. I believe it is incumbent upon them to acknowledge this issue, and come out with a firm statement on where they stand. I also believe that they have the capacity to remove Joe Gebbia from the board, rather than asking him to resign.

Joe Gebbia is NOT going to distance himself form DOGE, and probably not going to resign from the board. Anyone who willingly associates with (F) Elon Musk and DOGE is drinking the Kool-Aid, and sees nothing wrong with everything being perpetrated by DOGE and the current administration. Association is condoning the actions as well as the hateful rhetoric.

The only way to make AirBnB confront this issue is to hit them where it hurts, i.e. in the pocketbook. Many hosts and guests are leaving the platform. I am working to leave the platform as quickly as I can.

I posted another thread in which you can find an email address for Brian Chesky and Tara Bunch. Feel free to email them, and anyone else you can think of.
