@Rebecca1162 I'd be in favor of eliminating star ratings from stays with reported rule violations or damage claims. If it were up to me, star ratings wouldn't be used at all. But I don't feel that one guest's opinion should be censored just because it happens to be in the minority. That experience may not be the norm, but that doesn't mean it isn't valid.
As a guest, I am totally willing to book an Airbnb with an unflattering review sitting amongst positive ones. I'm more impressed by a host's ability to respond gracefully to negative feedback than an unblemished record.
