Great for the hosts,but appalling for guests who did the "right thing" by booking well in advance and so called "circumstances" have cost us our deposits.

Most of the hosts have their heads in the sand.!! Our government has grounded all flights for the foreseeable future. We cannot even get to Europe but AIRBNB have offered deals until 31 May. Its unbelievable how naive this new deal for hosts who will be paid on top of our deposits yet we have had to cancel just to get the hosts to somehow try and re-book when most of Europe will still be in lockdown. This is the most narrow minded decision for any guest. Last time we will book with Airbnand bull**bleep**. Cannot believe that you are enforcing this 50 % cancellation fee for people travelling in June.
