Hi. Does airbnb have a customer support number for hosts? How can i make sure my account is linked to my phone?
@Christian2756 There is a pinned post near the top of this Help forum regarding contacting Airbnb.
Your account is linked to the phone number you have input to your profile information.
You listing is super nice. Well done.
Thank you, @Sarah977 . Have not been able to find the number, but I shall keep trying. Sounds like it's difficult to call?
@Christian2756 A google search actually calls up phone numbers for Airbnb. They don't make their contact info easy to find, though. I've never had a hard time calling, but I haven't had to contact them for a long time and they seem to be getting more difficult according to all reports. (I don't have the US number at hand, or I'd give it to you)
Unless it's some emergency situation, a lot of hosts find it better to message them, though, or contact them through their Twitter account. You then at least have a paper trail of interaction about issues. And if you call and they say they'll call you back, you could die of old age waiting for that promised call back.
Most of the customer service reps are ill trained, don't even know Airrbnb policy, give out incorrect or incomplete info and seem to require multiple back and forths to even grasp the issue you have contacted them about. You'll get much better advice and help from other hosts on this and other hosting forums, so unless it's something that only CS can deal with, try asking your questions here first.
@Sarah977 the pinned post was removed some time ago. @Nick replaced it 5 hours ago with a far less useful post that ends up directing yo to the Airbnb bot.
@Nick It is a shame to see Airbnb presumably instructing the moderators to remove useful information just because Airbnb don't want people to call them.
@Mike-And-Jane0 I agree- sending users to Airbnb links instead of just posting the phone numbers, Twitter option, and messaging instructions is a big step backwards in customer service and those who come to the forum seeking contact info should be shown more respect.
I suspect that soon there will be no way whatsoever to contact Airbnb.
@Mike-And-Jane0 Why would I need the UK number? Or are you just getting the ball rolling with posting actual contact numbers here?
