Hello everyone! 😊
Welcome to the Community Center! 👋 I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca and @Elisa and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : 🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘 and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌
@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards,
Bhumika
Welcome @Paco-and-Arianna0!
How are you finding hosting so far? Congratulations on getting started on this wonderful journey. 😊
Hello everyone,
My name is Amaka. I am from Nigeria. I lived in Oslo, Norway, and then moved to Calgary, Canada. I'm currently living in Bakersfield, California. I love reading, singing, spending time with family, and being outdoors. I also love meeting new people.
After becoming a super host, I am focusing on getting more listings within and around a 2-hour drive from where I live. If you know anyone looking for a co-host near Southern California, kindly refer me.
Thanks.
Welcome to the community @Amaka19! It's fantastic that you got the chance to live in so many different places. Have you been a Host in all these different countries or started when you moved to California?

Hi, I'm Andy. I am a new host based in New Jersey, from the Jersey Shore (yes where the television show was filmed!). I'm particularly looking forward to hosting international travelers to share about the beachside of New Jersey.
Hi @Andy4126,
Welcome, and congratulations on your new listing! Was some of the show filmed really close to your listing then? How was that for you? It will fuel a lot of fun conversations with guests, no doubt there. 😃
It was indeed! I hope so 🙂
Hey guy's Shiko from Israel here,
pretty new to Airbnb hosting.
I like snowboarding and good food
Welcome @Moshiko0 👋
Isreal is a great place for good food! What are your favourite local dishes to recommend to visitors?
I’m thrilled to have recently started hosting on Airbnb! I host in my lovely home, nestled in the natural beauty of the Helsinki metropolitan area. Though my house is surrounded by nature, it’s just a short bus ride from the vibrant heart of Helsinki.
Everything kicked off with a bang, and my calendar is already filling up with bookings! I absolutely love meeting people from all walks of life and offering them a cozy stay in my peaceful haven, which I call RoseGarden. It’s a joy to share a little piece of this beautiful space with my guests, and I can’t wait to welcome even more visitors to experience the charm of RoseGarden.
Looking forward to connecting with you all!
Hi @Susanna475,
Welcome to the Community 🙂
Congratulations on the successful start of your hosting journey! What has been your favorite part of hosting so far, and what are some places you reccomend in and around Helsinki?
Thank you very much!
What I enjoy most about hosting is being able to continuously improve the guest experience. RoseGarden is a spacious, fully equipped house with three floors and 300 square meters of space, offering privacy and comfort. Each guest room has its own fridge and private bathroom, ensuring a peaceful and convenient stay.
For nature lovers, you’ll find National parks just around the corner, offering fantastic outdoor opportunities. For those who appreciate creativity, you can explore the attic studio’s artwork or visit the neighboring open art courtyard for a unique local experience.
As a bonus, there's a direct bus connection to Helsinki’s city center right from the front of the house!
