Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Bhumika , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Elisa @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football⚽, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe. 

@Bhumika :  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌 

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new. 

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ⚽️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

Hello! I am very excited to be a part of this community. I have enjoyed meeting others while traveling. I am even more excited to do that locally and meet others, introducing them to my community by being a host. 

I am 52 and will be married in February. We each had our own home and as I tried to sell mine, I realized the market just was not right for that. I had thought of renting but, through research, found that I really enjoyed the idea of hosting others. I live in Memphis, TN. The city is growing and has much to offer! I love that I can be part of that. 

I enjoy the outdoors! I love hiking and biking and enjoy traveling.

my name is Teresa Waltman! I live in southern Indiana! My husband and I have raised 4 children and decided to renovate the lower level of our home to accommodate overnight guests! I’m Maarif, a passionate host from the vibrant city of Islamabad, Pakistan. Hospitality has always been close to my heart, and I love creating spaces where guests can feel truly at home.

Islamabad is a gorgeous city at the base of the Margalla Hills, known for its natural beauty. My apartments have amazing Margalla views, giving guests a peaceful and scenic place to stay. It’s a great spot to relax, enjoy nature, and still be close to everything the city offers.

In my free time, I enjoy physical activities like sports, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. I’m always happy to recommend the best spots for hiking or share tips for enjoying the city’s outdoor adventures!

A little about me: I enjoy cooking, hiking, photography and have a passion for exploring different cultures. My accommodation is located in My accommodation is located in a historic neighborhood of Virginia, near breathtaking nature trails like those in Shenandoah National Park and just a short distance from the vibrant heart of the city, where cultural landmarks and modern attractions blend seamlessly, which I think makes it a special place for travelers to explore.

Hi Rebecca, my first booking went really well. It is for a family that got double booked for Thanksgiving holiday and didn't have a place to go in the last minute with two small kids. I immediately let them in to my cabin and they left a review that they had best time at the cabin.
