Hello everyone! ๐
Welcome to the Community Center! ๐ I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ I have been on the Community Center for 6+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling๐ฒ, playing footballโฝ, and travelling๐ . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : ๐ I was born in Gujarat, India ๐ฎ๐ณ , and shifted to Toronto, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ last year! ๐ท I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. ๐ When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia ๐จ๐ด and currently living in British Columbia, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance ๐) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries ๐ and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking ๐ฒ and hiking ๐.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist ๐ฟ and like to minimise my impact on the planet ๐ as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming ๐ yoga on the beach ๐งโ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! ๐
@Elisa : I was born in Italy ๐ฎ๐น and as a lover of unique experiencesโfrom exploring the streets of Rome๐ฎ๐น , Paris ๐ซ๐ท, and Toronto ๐จ๐ฆ to appreciating timeless art and cuisineโI'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain ๐ช๐ธ, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto๐จ๐ฆ this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey โ๏ธ. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports โฝ๏ธ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. ๐ฅ
@Emilie : I was born in France ๐ซ๐ท, raised in French Polynesia ๐บ and Morocco ๐ฒ๐ฆ, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. ๐ฒ
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards๐ป,
Elisa

Hey everyone! My name is Melany and I have been using Airbnb for 6+ years but just joined as a host - hoping to fill my guest's cups just as much as traveling and using Airbnb has filled mine! I have a beautiful home listed in Scottsdale, Arizona
Hi there - I am from Michigan. ๐บ๐ธ I opened my first Airbnb in Pontiac in 2017. I closed it during COVID but never reopend. I moved to Warren in 2022 and opened my current Airbnb in my basement. I love to have friends over for BBQ's & bonfires ๐ฅ in the summer and game night & cards (euchre) in the winter. I look forward to getting to know y'all and sharing experiences and tips.
Hello,
My name is Juliet, a new Airbnb host in Canada ๐จ๐ฆ, and in my third month of hosting which I love!
Having recently attained Superhost status, I'm delighted to be here and cannot wait to glean off your collective expertise, as I know there's still so much to learn in this hosting world!
HI Folks, My name is Jon Scott I have been traveling with Airbnb since about 2011 and hosting in the Adirondack Mountains of New York USA since 2020. This is a huge region over 6 million acres (2, 480,000+ Hectares)of park and private land. The size of our region creates special challenges for hosting.
I Host my own off grid property, cohost 2 other large homes and partially manage 2 others. My 4 owners have achieved Superhost but I do all the work.. Cohosts should get some credit here, too. I tell them; all they have to do is collect the money. I am happy to say we have had all 5 star reviews for 4 years. I take care of the properties and the listings and deal directly with the renters, as if they were my own. As an experienced world traveler I know what folks like and what makes them remember a stay.
Heres my main list: A very clean home, few local goodies, a friendly face, lots of good recommendations and information on Local things to do. Comfy beds and nice towels.
I am curious as to what other hosts do to make their guest just a little happier and little more comfortable etc.. Is there a list somewhere???
Cheers Scott
My name is sietse, and Iโve been working on tools to help Airbnb hosts make hosting easier and more rewarding.
Recently, we created a tool that helps guests discover local activities during their stay while giving hosts a way to earn extra income. Iโm here to learn more from this community and hear your thoughts on what makes hosting successful!
Hi there,
I have been hosting for two years now in MD.
Happy New Year everyone!
Hallo! I am Jafar Werfete from Kaimana, a small city in West Papua Province of Indonesia. I am a guide of fishing and dive and we have packages of those activities. We are Papuan people who work in a small group to serve for guests who come here for leisure and do some activities here, like snorkeling, diving, fishing, kayaking, beaching, islands hopping, bird watching, or honeymoon. To encourage more people and network for our business we are so glad to join the Airbnb. Warm greetings from Kaimana, West Papua
Hello! I am Elena, I started using AirBnB to occasionally rent my apartment in Paris in September. I am Italian and live between France and the Italian Alps. I was very relieved to find this space: for a while I was convinced that the only place where to ask questions was the Facebook local group but I have no intention of ever exposing myself to that environment. So thanks for thinking of this!!
