New to the Community Center? Introduce yourself here ‌👇

Hello everyone! 😊

Welcome to the Community Center! 👋  I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.

Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:

@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling🚲, playing football, and travelling🌏 . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.

@Bhumika  🌍 I was born in Gujarat, India 🇮🇳 , and shifted to Toronto, Canada 🇨🇦 last year! 📷 I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. 🌆 When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.

@Paula : I am from Colombia 🇨🇴 and currently living in British Columbia, Canada 🇨🇦. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance 💃) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries 🌎 and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking 🚲 and hiking 🏔.

@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist 🌿 and like to minimise my impact on the planet 🌎 as well as volunteering in my local community.  I love sea swimming 🌊 yoga on the beach 🧘‍ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! 🙌

@Elisa : I was born in Italy 🇮🇹 and as a lover of unique experiences—from exploring the streets of Rome🇮🇹 , Paris 🇫🇷, and Toronto 🇨🇦 to appreciating timeless art and cuisine—I'm here to blend the old with the new.

@Alex : I'm originally from Spain 🇪🇸, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto🇨🇦 this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey ✈️. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports ️ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. 🥘

@Emilie : I was born in France 🇫🇷, raised in French Polynesia 🌺 and Morocco 🇲🇦, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. 🍲

Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?

Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Warm regards🌻,

Elisa

Hello @Ranveer1

I'm so happy to see that an experienced host like you is joining the Community Center. I'm sure we are going to learn a lot from you. Would you be able to tell us about your best experience so far? 🤗

Best wishes,

Alex

Hello @Alex ,

It's a pleasure being a part of the Airbnb Community Center with like-minded folks! I've had so many great experiences over the past seven years of hosting. One of the best moments I’ll never forget was when a guest brought me fruits grown on their farm. I was so overwhelmed and happy! We then sat together, shared stories, and exchanged thoughts, it was such a heartwarming and memorable experience.

Hi everyone!  I grew up in the hospitality business.  My grandparents started one of the first resorts back home in the Fiji Islands.  I went to Ecole Les Roches in Switzerland and got my degree in Hotel Management.  I have worked in 5 star properties around the world. Two years ago, I started my own Airbnb in Sedona, AZ, and as a result of that success, I have been co-hosting in Seattle for the past year. All of my properties are rated 100% 5 stars.   I am also an interior designer, specializing in short term rentals.  I have had a lot of fun connecting with other co-hosts and helping to improve the design of their listings.  I also offer my services as a temporary co-host for owners who are going on vacation and just need someone to cover their listings while they are gone and I have been known to be the point person if another co-host is out of town and needs someone to be available on call.  I really love supporting other co-hosts.  We tend to work solo, but it is nice to be able to work together at times.

Welcome @Maile19

It's amazing to see your experience and level of expertise in hosting. I'm sure your opinions and tips will be very helpful to the rest of the members. Please don't hesitate to share which topics you like the most, and we can tag you in them. 🙂

What's your goal as host for this year?

Best wishes,

Alex

Hello All - I'm delighted to be part of the Airbnb community. I'm Kristie and I have been hosting a tiny home called Kolibrie Huis located in the San Francisco Bay Area since late December 2024. I'm new to hosting, have ramped up quickly, and look forward to learning more from so many seasoned hosts.

Hello, I'm Jacqueline; I was born in Iran and speak four languages (Armenian, Farsi, French & English).  I have lived in Seattle since 1978.   My sister Stella own a family home in West Seattle and decided to turn it into an Airbnb.  My daughter, Alexandra is co-hosting.  Both my sister and my daughter are avid Airbnb-ers...  I love hosting.  My mom always dreamt of owning a bread & breakfast.  This is in really her in her honor and legacy!

Hi @Jacqueline1621 😊

Welcome to the community center!

I'm truly impressed by how many languages you speak. 😍

Have you ever used Armenian or Farsi while hosting?
