Hello everyone! ๐
Welcome to the Community Center! ๐ I'm @Elisa , one of the Community Managers for our English Community Center along with my lovely team members @Quincy @Paula @Rebecca @Bhumika @Alex @Emilie and we are thrilled to have you join us.
Let's kickstart this thread with a little about us Community Managers:
@Quincy : I'm from the Netherlands ๐ณ๐ฑ I have been on the Community Center for 7+ years, and have been an Airbnb Host myself. I love cycling๐ฒ, playing footballโฝ, and travelling๐ . I love how dynamic and diverse the Community Center is as we meet Hosts from all around the globe.
@Bhumika : ๐ I was born in Gujarat, India ๐ฎ๐ณ , and shifted to Toronto, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ last year! ๐ท I recently realized my love for photography and aesthetics. I love to capture mundane life and candid pictures. ๐ When I'm not working, you'll find me binge-watching thriller movies or exploring history.
@Paula : I am from Colombia ๐จ๐ด and currently living in British Columbia, Canada ๐จ๐ฆ. I have a passion for Latin American culture (I love to dance ๐) . I've had the opportunity to visit around 20 countries ๐ and plan to visit many more. In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, especially mountain biking ๐ฒ and hiking ๐.
@Rebecca : I'm from Cardiff in Wales originally but being a military child and a veterans spouse, I've travelled and lived in a lot of different places in the UK and Europe. I'm an environmentalist ๐ฟ and like to minimise my impact on the planet ๐ as well as volunteering in my local community. I love sea swimming ๐ yoga on the beach ๐งโ and I'm a children's yoga instructor too! ๐
@Elisa : I was born in Italy ๐ฎ๐น and as a lover of unique experiencesโfrom exploring the streets of Rome๐ฎ๐น , Paris ๐ซ๐ท, and Toronto ๐จ๐ฆ to appreciating timeless art and cuisineโI'm here to blend the old with the new.
@Alex : I'm originally from Spain ๐ช๐ธ, but my passion for traveling made me move to Toronto๐จ๐ฆ this year to explore the culture and add another unforgettable experience to my journey โ๏ธ. I'm also passionate about all kinds of sports โฝ๏ธ (especially football, in which I played at a semi-professional level) and love to discover new dishes everywhere I go. ๐ฅ
@Emilie : I was born in France ๐ซ๐ท, raised in French Polynesia ๐บ and Morocco ๐ฒ๐ฆ, and have settled in the UK for 14 years now! On evenings and weekends, you will find me spending time with my dog, working on a jigsaw, or trying my hand at some new cuisine. ๐ฒ
Now it's your turn! Tell us a bit about yourself. Where are you from? And is there something special about the location of your accommodation that you'd like to share?
Looking forward to getting to know you all!
Warm regards๐ป,
Elisa

My name is Alek and I was born in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but raised in Russia. Now, Iโm back in Mexico, embracing new opportunities while pursuing my passionsโcrypto, investments, real estate, travel, wine, and cooking.
This month, I launched my Airbnb, and itโs been fully booked every day! I couldnโt be happier to start this new adventure. My goal is to exceed every guestโs expectations, delivering a 101% experienceโsimply because I believe in treating people the way Iโd love to be treated.
I speak English, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, and Iโm currently learning Chinese, which allows me to connect with people from all over the world.
Excited to be part of this community! If thereโs anything I can help with, donโt hesitate to reach out.
One of the key factors behind the success of my Airbnb is its prime locationโjust a short walk from Caboโs best restaurants, nightlife, and beaches, while still offering a quiet and secure place to rest. I also focus on providing personalized guest experiences, such as assisting with tour bookings, restaurant reservations, and even special surprises for celebrations.
I had a large rain storm come through our area and damage drywall in the house. I arranged a emergency repair with a Contractor in the morning and then in the afternoon there was last minute booking for the next day. I told the guest about the repair and it was low seasons so she was able to book another house so the guest is happy. Airbnb wants to charge me $485 for the cancelation even though the guest was happy and it was emergency work. I showed them my communication with my Contractor on the work and that was not sufficient. The $485 does not go to the guest no it goes to Airbnb massive profit margin. Airbnb is running a scam the owner should quit his work destroying America at DOGE and come back take care of the terrible customer service and profit scams at Airbnb.
Hi there๐
My name is Kevin and I joined Airbnb for couple months now as a host. I've had an apartment at Surabaya, Indonesia๐ฎ๐ฉ that I listed in Airbnb and to be honest I'm still learning how to handle a property reservation as a host in Airbnb.
