Price?

Price?

Always thought the whole gimmick behind Airbnb was to be cheaper than hotels. I've been looking it up a lot lately and at least in my state florida. You can find hotels as cheap as 50 bucks. Most airbnbs with fees and everything included can be as much as 200 bucks a night sometimes more. What's going on? Is your location so precious you feel entitled to that much money? Everyone likes to say times are tough. Apparently most Airbnb hosts haven't realized that yet.

@Chris22452 Here's the thing: Hosts charge what they believe is a fair and reasonable price for their properties. Now if they are smart they will achieve bookings at this price and they will thrive as hosts. If they are less smart (aka dumb) then they won't get booked and will not be hosts for very long. It is quite simply the economic law of supply and demand with a bit of Darwinian selection thrown in.

So please don't worry about hosts - Book with those whose pricing is fair and all will be fine with the world.
