Struggling with writing bad Guest review?

Last weekend I had a group of six Mountain trail bike riders  stay at my "The Patriot Bella Vista"  home .  They were from  Dallas and came to ride the trails in the area.   I have geared the house up to host this type of guest,  and have had wonderful experiences, until now.  Also, The house is immaculate and I repainted the entire home before listing .  It's perfect!

Ok to cut to the chase,  apparently they had a food fight or something.  Maybe a drunken brawl as the garbage can was loaded with beer cans and bottles  galore..  There was  a brown/ fibrous/ greasy brown, tobacco like substance all over the walls in kitchen (disgusting), doors and even on ceiling too.  The floor was filthy with food and nastiness. White and Colored towels, washed and still in washer in spite of sign over washer "Do not mix colored towels with whites".   Food and banana under twin bed with a  "2 foot blow up monkey".  I haven't figured that one out yet? Two white towels are now trash.  One towel found with vomit in corner of master bedroom on Carpet.  I have a custom dart board in garage and am now missing darts.   I have ordered new from Amazon.  Im thankful they are "soft tip"!

My cleaning helpers went ballistic and couldn't believe it.   They have cleaned houses for 30 years and said they have never seen anything like this.  They and I were appalled at the total disrespect for the property.   The walls will have to be painted and touched up as they are still not right.   I had to pay my cleaning people double.  I  would normally just fix  and clean everything and move on,  but I feel a responsibility to other hosts.  Also, by not reviewing them, I am giving the ok to disrespect other Propeties.  I feel like "Anti fa" stayed there!   Any suggestions on how to write my review? Do I give details or just say"  I will never host them again"?  thank you all for any input.  Lisa

Oh and they left me a nice note and said they had a great stay and enjoyed the beer mugs in the freezer...Grrrrr.    Maybe they are just clueless.

@Lisa1435 It is important for the review to be short, to the point, and display very little to no emotion. In other words, don't rant.

Something like:

"XX and friends stay for X nights. Vomit was found in the closet. Food and debris tracked throughout the house. A stickiness on all counters, walls, and floors. The expense for cleaning was beyond the allotted cleaning fee. I cannot recommend."

Yes, you should mention the issues in the review.

Maybe create a draft one and post it here for checking by fellow hosts ?

If you do not want to host them again:

There is a button in the review form to select the right answer.......!

@Lisa1435 I lean toward the less detail the better, to me this sounds like a 1* across the board and a "no, would not host again" my text would be something like "the cleaners said they've not ever encountered this much left behind mess in years and years of work, I absolutely do not recommend these guests to other ABB hosts"

Yikes, sorry. I am wondering when we click the would not host again option, does that mean they will not be able to book with you again?

I was told that it would not make a difference. I said no to someone and they still were able to book with me after that.

I think you have to block someone for them to not be able to book with (nor message) you again. You need to click on the flag next to one of their messages and select block. Unfortunately, the only option given that works for blocking is 'they're being offensive'. I feel bad selecting this reason if the guest hasn't been offensive, but it's a necessary evil as that's the only option that actually blocks (rather than just reports them to Airbnb) the guest.

I had someone block me recently after I sent them an aircover request that they did not agree with, wrote a review that did not even make sense, but then when I brought it to supports' attention, they backed up the guest saying it did not violate the terms when the entire time this guest did not complain once and then they trashed everything, even leaving fecal matter all over the toilet and walls around the toilet area (they did it to another host right before coming to my space too & I would never rent to them if I knew about that), but then accused me of basically falsifying claims with the platform and saying my own damages were from guests. I was so irritated that someone was able to leave that type of review. I ended up replying to her review and noting everything that she complained about, down to the weather being hot; which is not even something I can control and we were in the middle of summer in Texas and it was over 100 degrees for months during June, so I am not sure why that would be the hosts fault for it being something that bothered her about checking in.

I swear, some people......you just can't make everyone happy!!!
