Texas Hotel OccupancyTax - What Happened to the AirBnB calculation?

I track the Gross Earnings for each of our 3 cabins on a daily basis.  Last year, AirBnB was spot on with what they collected for Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) here in Texas when compared with what they should have collected.  Lately, their numbers are all over the place - for example, on one rental, they should have collected $9; instead, they collected $21.  While this does not impact my earnings (directly), it does cost the guest more for a stay.  Has anyone else run into this issue?  Has the code behind the calculator gone haywire?  It is, and has always been, a flat 6% for HOT.  I don't know why it has gone off the rails now.

Hi JB6 - I've tried for hours to replicate how Airbnb is calculating taxes and I can't do it. The best theory I have so far is that they may be still applying a 2% county tax that ceased to exist on 1/1/19, and they also may be applying taxes to the Airbnb Service Fee that they shouldn't.  My post is here:
