URGENT SPAM EMAILS

DO NOT CLICK ON ANY EMAIL LINKS SENT TO YOU BY AIRBNB, INC (notifications). IT IS SPAM/PHISHING. It will address you by your first name, stating an extenuating circumstances policy and that your account is temporarily on hold until you accept their new cancellation policy and it provides a link for you click on.

IT IS VERY DANGEROUS. AIRBNB NEEDS TO SECURE THEIR ENTIRE DATABASE BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN HACKED INTO AND SOMEONE HAS GOTTEN INTO THEIR SYSTEM, ABLE TO GET OUR NAMES AND EMAIL ADDRESSES. AGAIN DO NOT CLICK ON THESE LINKS AND CONTACT AIRBNB AND THE FBI TO REPORT THIS. CLICKING ON THE LINK MAY GIVE THEM

ACCESS TO YOUR CHECKING ACCOUNT AND PERSONAL INFO.

WHEN I CLICKED ON THE ACTUAL EMAIL ADDRESS THIS IS WHERE IT CAME FROM WHICH ALSO LOOKS VALID BUT IS NOT

@Randi33   Thank you for sharing this information.  I think @Airbnb has been having issues for a while now,--perhaps for several months.  There is another thread here:  https://community.withairbnb.com/t5/Help/Verification-code-sent/m-p/1423632# where many people were wondering why they were receiving verification codes when none were requested.  Although Airbnb continues to downplay and/or deny all incidents, a friend of mine (who does programming for the government), also felt their database had been hacked.  Not sure how other companies like Home Depot are held responsible for data hacks, yet Airbnb denies and it's ignored?  Perhaps it's because only a small amount of the population has Airbnb accounts.

I have received the text messages, however, no emails yet.  I finally reported it to the FTC as Airbnb could give no satisfactory answers.
