@branka and sylvia I just heard there had been an earthquake in Zagreb. Hope you are both OK.
Oh my goodness @Branka-and-Silvia0 . So so sorry to here the centre of your city has been heavily affected by this quake. So glad you are all physically okay. Your poor mum and others like her. Having lived through so many life changes and now having to deal with this pandemic and housing upheavals.
I wish I could help from so far away....... you must all be feeling so down, but please try to make the mood a passing one, in these terrible times. You all still have one another and we all still have one another.....
i reckon a big big FaceTime party might be what we will all have on the other side of these disasters. We’ll eat cake, drink some wine, thank Mother Earth for sparing us and all dance our hearts out in the streets. XXX
Oh, I am so sorry! The aftershocks are just the pits, aren't they? I hope the weather warms up again and soon and the earth becomes steady beneath your feet. Love & prayers go out to you and let the rebuilding go on as soon as possible, XO
Thank you @Cathie19 @Sally221 : ) Your messages really warm our hearts : )
Last week we had a temperature 20 C and we could walk in T-shirts.... today it's 0 C in Zagreb with strong wind and it is snowing. That's very unfortunate for all those people who are without gas, with damaged roofs and chimneys and therefore without heating and hot water.
My dear friend lives on the fourth floor under the roof, she called me yesterday and said the roof is gone, the chimney is crashed and fall on her car. The first rain and her apartment will be flooded. Due to corona, all shops are closed so she can't even buy a plastic cover to protect her apartment and she is facing more damages these days : (
So, yes, it is complicated because everything is connected and problems are multiplying like the virus, exponentially : (
We are constantly shaking and experts said it will last another few days, weeks or even months. We had 75 more earthquakes within 42 hours (until past midnight) so it is not over yet.
One thing I can tell you my friends - save some money for rainy days. You never know when you will need it. Trouble never comes alone... or as we say: the devil only s h it on a big pile : )
Earthquakes in Zagreb in the last 3 days.
A helmet and a gas mask could be spring 2020 fashion ... and cracks on the walls are definitely new home design trend here : )🙂
@Branka-and-Silvia0 That's a lot of quakes! A lot of those on the graph look to be more than just tremors. Have they subsided at all in the last couple of days?
It's good to see that you are keeping a sense of humor. That does help to ease the anxiety, especially in devestating situations such as this.
Take care and stay safe.
@Jody79 ah, you have to laugh, what can you do.... I spoke with my neighbor yesterday and she said: "D am.n earthquakes! Why can't we just simply stay and home and peacefully fear the virus?"
I laugh so hard that I cried : D😄 😄 😄
Btw , we are still gently shaking ...
