My parents and I are thinking of renting an apartment in Vegas. Can anyone give us any good advice on how to start?  We don't know if we should tell the leasing office or not. About cleaning service, since we live in a different state, how does the place gets cleaned does Airbnb have their own company that goes and cleans it? Do we call maid services? Any good tips on how to start an Airbnb is greatly appreciated.

May I suggest you sit down and study how Airbnb works,

Go to You Tube there is lots of video's on there,

Check the local bye laws if you are allowed to STR, 

And also is sub letting legal,

That will keep you occupied for a while

@Aileen116 Ditto on excellent advice from @Sudsrung0 and @Helen3   Also take the to time to read, read some more, and then read again about the process of becoming a great host. There is a plethora of info on airbnb’s platform.

1. Check your lease to see if you are allow your sublet for STRs

2. check with your local government to see if they have STR restrictions 

4. read the useful guides on this community about how Airbnb works

Anyone could rent an apartment and sub let it to short term guests

Anyone can make 2-5 times the rental in revenue doing the above

Anyone can find a cleaning and maintenance company to look after the apartment

Strangely this utopia doesn't exist.

I would give up your plans now and also not defraud the owner of the apartment by misrepresenting the use you will put the property to
