getting reimbursed for Security Deposit for damages and overuse of electric.
I had a guest who used over $1000 in electic for less than a month. They apparently left the ACs on with the window open, 24-7.
I can not trust that airbnb resolution center would accept overuse of electric in any kind of security deposit request. It only covers damages. This should be changed. Otherwise I have to use paypal for the security deposit.

@Lorraine395 You have two very nice listings. For the house listing, I think your "security deposit" of $200 is the limit that Air BNB could use even if you could prove the excessive electrical use. I didn't see any rules about electrical use on your listing, but perhaps there is some way for AC to time out system could be added for the future. Perhaps if you have long term stays, you could have a separate agreement under Air BNB policies. Or, you could do long term on a different platform and short term on Air BNB. I think that is what other hosts are finding workable.
