Mar has a long set of rules in her property listing WHICH she will changed to stricter and nonsence, such as reducing the utility bill by half on you via messages when booking. She will try to get the most amount of money out of you as a deposit if you don't have a "work invitation letter". She lies about things you didn't do as a guest with fake pictures to keep your deposit. She is very rude ans arrogant and with the scam she tried to pull on me she comes of as greedy as well. The house shows to be in excellent condition yet there are alot of faults starting with dirty showers, broken fridge drawers, dirty cabinets, old stove, and dirty sheets. I had to extend my stay but I booked else where. I have pictures for those who want to have a look before going in.
@Carlos4150 The proper place to describe your experience with a listing is in your review. Nobody who's considering that particular property is ever going to see your post here, so what's the point?
You should report the listing to Airbnb. This post won't help because 99.99% of potential guest won't read it.
But I get some insight from posts like yours and the rest as well. I didn't realize that there is a 14 time frame to write a review until now. I think that's also the reason why she has that policy the refunds are given back after 14 days, shameful..
if this was the case I presume you didn't stay @Carlos4150
any reason you haven't left a review for this host?
Hello, I haven't left a review because she still owed me a deposit. She went past the 14 day refund return period and recently she only sent 300. She is using fake pictures to state that we left dirty towels and she got herself busted because when she sent the screen shots from her house keeper, they clearly show that the towels were never even touched.
She is also saying that a backcover of a deadbolt is missing yet there were no covers missing when we were there nor when we did the check out video I have saved in my phone.
She claimed there was a smoke alarm misplaced when it actually fell and hit the other guest and so we just put it aside.
For these excuses she wants to keep 200, without a receipt. I consider this a theft from her, I want to make others aware she is a scammer.
I didn't leave a review fearing she would look for the cheapest excuses to keep my deposit yet she still did it. I will be leaving a review expressing this whole situation for sure.
@Carlos4150 if 14 or more days have passed since the scheduled checkout, it's now too late to write a review.
I don't know what you mean by "deposit," since Airbnb does not facilitate those.
She had charged me $1,350 as a deposit besides the cost of the booking and a Airbnb representative helped bring that down to $500.
