smart pricing not working

Hi i'm a relatively new host and have noticed that smart pricing is not working for my one listing. No matter if smart pricing is on / off or what my minimum price is, it just seems to pick a number at random. I recently felt obliged to accept a booking at a much lower rate than my minimum. Having viewed the threads this is a common issue going back years?! I cant reach Airbnb on the phone and have had one user try and assist to no avail. I have now turned off instant booking. Any suggestions please. ?

Turn it off. That is the advice most experienced hosts would give you. Smart pricing doesn't work.

Make your research and decide your own prices. I tend to look at my prices and make changes 2 or 3 times a week. It is the best option.

Smart pricing will not get you more bookings.

I would recommend turning smart pricing off and then looking at  your local market and/or the recommended prices that Airbnb generate. That said the recommended prices often get stupidly low but you can accept or ignore them easily.

thanks for the replies. Its not just that smart pricing is reducing the price to random amounts, it is ignoring my minimum price?  The only way I have found to adjust the price to a known value which actually stays at that price is to manually edit each day in the calendar one by one. Tech support reckon I must have set the really low price as there is no error with the system which is just not correct. ?I have assured tech support that under no circumstances would I set such a low price and am awaiting their reply. The community threads have mentioned this problem going back years so this definitely needs addressing.
