someboby else shows up, instead of person who made the booking with correct reservation number

Hi everyone, I just experienced a strange situation and I would like to have your opinion, so

before check in time, I got a message from someone telling me he has this reservation made by his sister, reservation number was correct. The sister was supposed to arrive the next day. Then, instead of 4 adults,  two show up with a 7 year old child, telling that they will be 7 in total. The property can accommodate 6  including an extensible couch and  I charge per property per night. So, to make a long story short, I asked for ID, made copy, and allowed them to check in. Reservation was payed anyway.  They left everything ok, paid for the extra bed and all, but I still don't like this lack of communication. The person who made the reservation never wrote a word to let me know about anything. So what are you guys suggesting I should have or should do?  Is that a common practice? ...

Personally I wouldn't have let the guests check in, in those circumstances @Zee-Town-House0

However as you did, I hope you charged for the three additional guests.

I would leave an honest review i.e. "Sister made third party booking contrary to Airbnb's T&Cs for her family. I was unaware of this until her brother turned up and told me they would be bringing seven guests in total rather than the four who had booked. . Would not recommend to future hosts".
