Feedback on your Reservation List

Hello everyone,

 

I hope you are well.

 

I’ve been sharing a lot of your feedback with Airbnb teams. Some of them are really interested in getting your point of view on certain parts of the product, specifically. The Host Success team is working on ways to support Hosts and provide the tools you need to host successfully.

 

They are currently evaluating feature changes to the desktop Reservations List (https://www.airbnb.com/my_reservations) and would love to hear from you on how you use it:

  • How do you use the reservations list in your day-to-day, if at all?
  • What is useful in your reservations list?
  • What is challenging?

Hey Lizzie,

 

I think the reservation list is very important since it provides us with an historical arquive of the guests etc.........  And as a arquive tool, it need to be designed with search in mind.

 

I think they improved the page, but not sure they solved some of the customer experience navigation problems compared to the previous one.

 

As far as the look, it is in fact cleaner and more sophisticated.

As far as navigation there is some improvement but the main issues I think needs to be improved are the following:

 

1) if you have multiple listings you might want to search the reservation of a specific listing.  Curently you can't.  So if I want to check reservation of 2015 of my Modern Loft, I can just search reservation of 5 apt, and then need to sort out manually by skipping the lines of the other apartments.

 

2) in the filter now you can filter by dates; however, instead of using pull down menus for YEAR, and another for MONTH, there is a calendar with FROM and UNTIL.  This means that if I want to see my reservations of 2015 I need to put the cursor in the "from" (1 click), the calendar opens, I need to click 42 times to arrive to January 2015, then need to put the cursor in the "until" (1 click) opens the calendar, and I need to click 30 times to get to December 2015.  Total of 74 clicks.    

 

As a designer who in the past was behind couple of the top luxury brands web site in the world, I understand the need for sleek and sophisticated; however, I strongly believe the old internet 3-click-rule-to-get-anywhere shoud be at the base of any design and cannot be compromised that much.

 

It the TRANSACTION HISTORY page there is a very pragmatic menu where, with 4 pull down menus (listing, from month, from year, until month, until year) in 5 clicks you get to any place of any listing.  I mean 5 instead of 74 it is quite a time saved.

 

It is great, however, that you guys are working on improvements and ask for our feedbacks.

hi i really use the reservation list almost every day .  i would like to see though a field that we could insert our notes . this will help us to have all info in one place in relation to each reservation

Perhaps I just don't know how to do this, because I don't see anyone asking about it, but I would like to know how to find out who the Guest is traveling with. I know there are two coming, for example, but I don't know if it's their wife, sister, friend....so I am not sure how to greet the two of them. I put out a "Welcome Thomas and guest!" sign recently and, when it turned out to be his wife, she was a little offput (I think!). 🙂

 

Anyway, if there currently is no way to know, then I'd like to see about getting that added.

Hello @Lizzie , hope everything's well in the far UK.

This is about the Reservations list Beta version we are all using now.

I have 2 issues:

the first  is probably a temporary issue: while the "Upcoming" list is loaded fast, the "All" list  is not working, keep loading and loading forever. I'll  try again later;

the second is more important, I really miss the last field in the row where you could see if you still need to leave a review.  This was very useful for me as when I receive email about leaving reviews I'm usually physically or mentally busy and I tend to postpone. checking the All reservations list was a easy way to see immediately the reviews I still need to write.

I hope you are well. Thanks for your feedback here. Yes, this topic was created before the version you are seeing now, so I'm sorry if it's a little confusing here. 

 

It's really helpful to hear how you use this page now, we have had quite a bit of feedback on the page since launch so that's for your additional points here. 

 

I always find it so interesting to hear how hosts and guests use the site, including the Community Center here. It's not always how you expect, which shows how it important it is to collaborate. 🙂

 

I hope you will enjoy exploring the Community Center and any thoughts you have here, I'm all ears.

Hello @Lizzie , yes with IE work great, and the red "Review" button is still there!

It's a bit frustrating from a old IT guy like me (well, when computers worked with charcoal…) not understanding  why with Edge there are such problems, anyway important now is that I can use Airbnb tools properly. Thank you and have a great weekend!
