50% payment now and 50% on arrival

I recently booked a place through airbnb in Australia that gave the option of paying 50% now and 50% on arrival. I think this is a great idea.

I have been a host since 2012 and have never liked the idea of Airbnb taking 100% initially, especially for booking months in advance. But I cannot find how to set it up on my page.....

Can anyone help please?

It is not yet introduced globally.

Perhaps just with new hosts then? The place I booked was in my country. That's interesting.

I just saw a discussion regarding this same issue some weeks ago - a poster introduced some listings with this feature and if I remember correctly the listings were somewhere in South America.

Maybe only certain listings or maybe only for one part of the AUS - who knows.

It has been available for some time, but who qualifies etc I do not know, a bit of a mystery.

ABB often introduce new features with no announcement and in this case no understanding of who qualifies and who does not.
