A guest canceled his booking, I'm confused about the adjustment made on my account

Hi 

 

A guest canceled his reservation, and I received the following message : 

 

"Per your cancellation policy, your payout has been updated to €95. Your guest was refunded €132.

An adjustment of -€127 has been applied to your account."

 

What's this adjustment about ?

The only thing I can think about is that you may have changed your cancellation policy after the guest booked and that he/she is refunded under a flexible or moderate policy.  

If you have not changed your cancellation policy at all and it has always been strict, there may be a system error of some sort and you would need to contact airbnb with your question.
