Airbnb, please add Outdoor shower filter in search!

That's a great idea! I don't have an outdoor shower (and I don't plan to put one in) but I imagine many homes in this area have one. I live in a beach community and remember growing up with one to rinse off when we came back from the beach. 

How about adding "Fire bowl/pit"? Even though it's in my listing and photos, many guests arrive and then realize they could have brought marshmallows. Of course, I provide the forks.

Mimi, I just want to start with - Union Pier is one of our favorite spots.  I LOVE hiking the dunes and Union Pier is the perfect place to stay when visiting the dunes.  The first time we stayed we saw a newlywed couple dancing in the mitsty distance on the beach, twirling and taking album photos no doubt.  It broke my romance threshold.

That said.  I think it is clear here that air bnb needs what us old-fashioned internet users call a "keyword search" or what new-fangled web designers call "SEO" or search engine optimization.  Basically allowing you to put in a near infinite number of keywords that will return your listing in the search results without actually needing those words in the body of your description.

For instance in your case you could add:

fire pit; firepit; campfire; s'mores; etc. etc. etc.  If you have the dedication to keep adding new variations of search options that are relevant, the  more users will find your listing. 

But alas, airbnb does not offer any keyword seach.  I know this because I've been attempting to search for "outdoor shower"

Also I think you could delight your guests with a small s'mores kit waiting for them in the room.  Raise the rental $10 to cover it and no one would even know they paid for the s'mores themselves.

A-freaking-men!

I am literally actively searching for ANY vacation rental with an outdoor shower and it is the BIGGEST PAIN.  I mean hotels, resorts, cabins, they're re all on the table except we are not travelling to Hawaii or Jamaica.  We just want a quick, short getaway trip and a shower under the sun. 

It is a phenomenally elusive search.

Yes, for outdoor shower search!  Also would love search by "sauna."  Right now, all I can do is search google for those terms and "Airbnb."

The programers are all the time looking at ways to streamline search options but it has to stop somewhere! There are already 433+ Keyword search options on the left of a search page and you will never satisfy everyones desires! If you have, '6 kitchen cupboard doors' as a keyword option, someone will want 7!

My feeling is, the number of people that would actually search for a listing with an outside shower and a sauna as major search criterias would be so limited that it's inclusion would not be justified. Look at the number of posts from both hosts and guests who would like to see 'Electric Vehicle Charging station'  as a keyword option but that still has not been given a guernsey!

The only one I can see as feasible is rather than just Spa under ' Facilities'  that could be altered to include 'Spa/Sauna' . That might be worth pursueing!

Definitely in favor of an "outdoor shower" filter. As someone that uses Airbnb for when I travel, this would 100% sway my decision making on where I end up choosing to stay.
