Awaiting payment status

Hello, after approx. 15 requests and than no response whatsoever i finally received My first booking.

now the status is "awaiting payment" 

the gust has 24 hrs to pay the amount.

But already 20 hrs pasted and Nothing happened. I send him 2 Messages but no reply. 

Is this normal? Why does someone make a booking if they are not going to pay?

my calender is blocked now.

what should i do?

Hi Ingrid

I am also new to hosting and have the same question. I think Airbnb will pay you once the guest checks in to your place.

I dont think you need to request any monies from the guest. If someone can please be so kind to confirm.
