Calendar blocked dates

My calendar is blocked off with a "pending reservation" when I have not received a request for one.  It should not block my calendar for instant bookings in anycase.

I am wondering why airbnb won't give guests my contact details due to them being unverified but allows them to block off space on my calendar.  I didn't even know that my calendar  was blocked off and this means I could not receive guests for these dates.  There is a holiday weekend starting today and unblocking it today has not been helpful to getting bookings.
