Can my home have security webcam set up?

Would it be possible for me to set up security webcams within the common area of my home?

Hi @Mark52, I have a security camera that records the front doorway of the apartment and I disclose that there is a security camera to all guests (disclosure is required).  As a guest, I would not stay at your place if you had a camera recording inside a room of the property, even if it is a common space.
