Just had a problem while trying to book a flat.
I choose a flat, I've tried to book it 2 times, but I received an error. After a couple of minutes I searched for it again, but could not find it.
Therefore, I found another flat, which I tried to book.
While checking the status for the second flat (it was still on pending), i had the great surprise to see that the confirmation for the 1st flat was in my inbox. Even if the AIRBNB application reported me that an error ocurred.
My next step was to cancel the booking which was still on pending mode and inform the host that I am not interested anymore.
My question is - will I still pe charged for the SERVICE FEE from AIRBNB if the host did not accept my booking request?
