CoHost Questions (mostly about paying them)

Hi All- I'm at the point where I want to add a friend to CoHost. I've reviewed Airbnb's info but still have some questions as the financial specifics of it are still foggy. My friend will only be doing it from time to time to start..

*Is there a way to pay her a specific amount as a one time (or multiple times) thing? Right now I only see a specific percentage of all bookings or just the cleaning fees. I'm not going to pay her if she's not out there helping (she has another job and can only come a few times a week..if that).

*Tax-wise (I'm here in the US) does Airbnb deduct the Gross Earnings from this since she is taking some of the Gross Earnings? Or do they keep track of what I pay her so I can write it off as an expense?

*Again, tax wise, does she earn the income and have to fill out a 1099?

*Has anyone used this "invite a friend to cohost" feature?(specifically in the US but am open to any feedback)..
