Connecting with hosts in my neighborhood

Hi all I am new to hosting on Airbnb and I know that there are other properties listed in my neighborhood. Is it appropriate to contact these hosts for assistance via the travel portal? I would be contacting them as though I were interested in their property but disclose in the message that I am a host and just want some advice. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

I am not sure that would be the right approach. Think of it this way. You are asking your competitors how you can become more successful 🙂

Why not see if there is a local host group in your area and join this. They are often on Meet Up or Facebook.

Generally forums like this are a great place to get advice.

Have you read the community guides here and Airbnb's Help Forum. These will answer the most common areas you will need to know about.
