Discounted stay to trial our house

Hi

We are looking at listing our property with Airbnb, but to begin with wanted to do a couple of lets heavily discounted, to test the water, get feedback from the guests on how we can improve, and also see if it's something we feel comfortable doing going forwards.

Is this allowed, as I thought this could be a tactic for some to build positive feedback cheaply and easily, which may be frowned upon?

Thanks

Darren

Hi - yes it is allowed. Many new hosts look at the pricing in their area and undercut that to get some business and reviews.

However - be careful that heavy discounting does not attract the wrong type of guest. It's a generalisation but a nice property, heavily discounted, attracts people looking for a bargain and not looking for quality.

(and Bristol being a student city, be careful your heavily discounted property is not seen as a party venue)

Thanks @Gerry-And-Rashid0, much apprecited.
