The issue of guests not reading listings is an ongoing one. I doubt there's any way that AirBnB can force guests to read listing information, short of inventing some kind of system whereby a guest isn't able to book until s/he can confirm - electronically maybe - somehow that s/he has. 😉
What I've done is prepare a couple of template letters that I can use when I respond to an enquiry. I modify it depending upon the nature of the questions I'm asked.
I remember one quest (who arrives next month) asking me questions, the answers to which are in the clearly visible information under the heading picture on my listing. He wanted to know whether the price included a double bed, use of a bike, and breakfast.
Sigh...
