House insurance

Hi!

We are reletively new to AIRBNB and have been scared by a few stories by other holiday home owners. We were told that you needed to insured to the hilt incase someone breaks a leg and then tries to sue you for loss of earnings! Is this something Airbnb insurance covers you for? getting scared!!!!!

You need to have appropriate insurance in place to protect both your property and your guests while they are in your home. That is not unusual - but the situation you describe (thankfully) is unusual. Insurance is designed to play on your risk assessment - most people have buildings insurance, but the likelihood of your house ever burning down in very remote. Contact someone like Admiral who provide host insurance and see what they will quote
