How do I respond to "request" to find out how many guests are coming, time of arrival, their phone?

I ask the guest the names of all guests. If the number differs from reservation, I send a reservation change to the guest for their approval. About a week before arrival, I write a quick note telling guest we plan to be home to greet them, check in starts at such and such time. Then I ask them to give an ETA.  Usually that takes care of everything. Airbnb will give you and guest phone numbers after reservation is paid.

So the answer is- just ask. Elaine
