How do i get listed in an area search (i.e. Hudson Valley)?

We just listed our house in a small town in the Hudson Valley, NY. There are some well known towns nearby that people are more likey to search for over ours, since ours is so small. Or, people might simply search "Hudson Valley, NY" which encompases many small towns in the region across several counties. However, when i search Hudson Valley, NY our house is not showing up in the results, even though houses nearby us do show up. We even have "Hudson Valley" on our listing page assuming that might help, and others that do not are showing up while ours is not.

How do we get our property to show up for an area search instead of just a town name search?

Hello @Stephen446 ,

Your listings says it is located in: Pine Plains, New York.

When searching for "Pine Plains, NY" your listing shows up on first page at nr 8.

When searching for "Hudson Valley, NY"your listing shows up when moving the map towards "Pine Plains". I think this is normal procedures.

Stating "Hudson Valley" in the title is nice for external search software like Google, but will not affect Airbnb search. Also the word "NEW" is not nessecary, as Airbnb labeled the listing allready as "New", giving you temporary a higher ranking in search results.

Hi Emiel - Thanks for the note.

I just assumed the listings for "Hudson Valley" would show all listings in Hudson Valley, but it sounds like that's maybe not the case. I do see our listing when i zoom in closer to Pine Planes, so thats good.

Removed "new" from our title. Thanks for the heads up.
