How to modify a reservation to add a person for part of the reservation.

I have an existing reservation for a couple for two-plus weeks in January. They want to add two more people for the last week. How do I modify the reservation to include the extra charge for additional people for only part of the time frame of the reservation.?

Hello @Cindy195,

One way to do it is to use the "Change or cancel" feature for the reservation. This will allow you to adjust the price to include the cost of two more people for the last week.

You could message the guest beforehand to advise them of what you're going to do and that they must accept the cost if the extra people are to stay. If they don't accept it then the reservation stays as is.

Click on "Host" and then on "Your reservations" in the menu. Then find the desired reservation and click on the "Change or cancel" link for it.

Then click on the "Change reservation" button. You'll then see a "Subtotal" box with the total room cost. Change this to add the additional cost of the two people for the week and also remember to add your cleaning fee. There's no need to change anything else.

Note what the page says, just above the subtotal:

"The subtotal should include your cleaning fee—the only thing we’ll add to the price you choose is the Airbnb guest service fee. "

Then click on "Submit alteration".
