I have double booked one night. I have emailed enquirer to let them know, but what do I do if their credit card is already charged? I cannot honour there booking

just decline. You don't need to enter into a long winded conversation with the guest. Decline and let them get on with their search.

Though Looking at your post again : I don't quite understand how you can accept and enquiry and claim it's not paid yet? If you've pressed accept haven't you got a firm booking?

How has this double booking come about in any case ?
