ID Verification. I really need help and Im new to airbnb thank you!

Hello everyone,

I would like to know How safe is it on accepting guests who are only verified by email and phone number only?

And when I actually accepted the guest, her name doesnt show up, her name that she provided was only one letter.

What Should I do to resolve this uncomfortableness. Or is it best to cancel....

I have set my listing to only accept guests with verified ID (photo ID). As a new host I would recommend you do this too.

If you cancel as a host - there are severe penalties, unless a guest breaks your house rules, so you should only do this if there is no other option. (see Airbnb Help Centre).

Contact your guest ask them to provide a clear photo of themselves, their names, plans for their stay and to tell you something about themselves.

the best would be that you ask them to show you their photo ID and then you can make a photocopy, photo or just write down all their personal info. That is what we do with every guest , including children bc it is obligated in Croatia, Italy and some other countries and bc it is safer for us.
