Imitation: the sincerest form of flattery

While perusing guest profiles before approving their request to book I looked at some of the places they have already stayed. I noted another local host has poached some of my marketing in his listing. It's disappointing that he's taken some of my taglines for himself but I guess I just have to look at the bright side and say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Have others experienced this?

@Heather188 This is the best way to deal with it but remember nothing can beat the original. Here is a quote from the most elegant and one of the best if not the best and beautiful french femme fatal and fashion designer " IF YOU WANT TO BE ORIGINAL, BE READY TO BE COPIED." Keep calm and carry on happy hosting!!!

I agree. I just keep racking up 5-star reviews as best I can and use my energy on my guests.

@Heather188 Great job keep it up!

Extremely irritating and shows other host's lack of imagination.

Wishing you the full rack of 5-star reviews, while the me-too host is still scratching their head in wonderment of why they aren't getting 5 stars, despite copying you to a 'T'  🙂

I changed my listing as I didn't want to be associated with them.  Oh well.  😄
