Legal Regulations to limit AirBnb hosting in Sectional Title complexes in Johannesburg South Africa

I am an AirBnB host in Sandton, near Johannesburg South Africa . My property is in a sectional title development.

I have been advised that there are people who are trying to get AirBnb or short-term letting restricted in Johannesburg due to the interference it causes in multi living complexes- such as townhouses.

Can anyone shed any light on this? Is it true that there can be restrictions put onto AirBnB properties in the Johannesburg area? I would appreciate hearing from other hosts faced similar problems and how they overcame them.
